Happy 58th book giveaway! We had an amazing time (vicariously!) hiding 30 copies of Woodworking by Emily St. James this past weekend. Why do I say “vicariously?” Well, volunteers from our June Community Kindness Sponsors (The Tucson Spotlight and the Book Chisme Book Club) offered to help us hide all the books. Huge gratitude to Caitlin Schmidt (Founder and Editor of the Tucson Spotlight), Esmeralda Corella (founder and host of the Book Chisme Book Club), Ian Stash (Freelance Journalist, Tucson Spotlight), Marlon Bedoy (Intern, Tucson Spotlight), Macy Hernandez (Social Media Manager, Tucson Spotlight), and Topacio “Topaz” Servellon (Reporter, Tucson Spotlight) for braving the heat to help us hide some books!
If you’re new here and didn’t get a chance to find a book on book-hiding day, some of our amazing guest gnomes are hiding an additional 20 books (on top of the 30) around Tucson over the next few weeks. So keep your eyes peeled, as 20 more copies of Woodworking are being hidden around town! We do not post any hint photos of these books, as they are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight!
This month (welcome to July!), we’re sharing a FUN summer read, and we are so excited about it (and hope you all will be, too!). So keep an eye out here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates on our next book-hiding adventure(s)!
