Thirty-Eighth Tome Giveaway

Before we jump into sharing an update on last weekend’s book-hiding adventure, we’re here to remind you that we’re currently raising money to fund book-hiding in 2025! We would be forever grateful if you’re willing to help us meet our $10K goal for 2025 ❤ You can donate at the link below:

Happy 38th book giveaway! To celebrate my favorite season (spooky season!), last weekend, I hid 30 copies of Haunted Ever After by (local author!) Jen DeLuca. To accompany these books, I also hid 30 small ceramic ghosts that I commissioned from a local ceramic artist, my friend Jess Braithwaite (see the top left image above). This book and the ghost went together so perfectly (and doubled as a lovely way to celebrate all things local – – – a local author AND a local artist!).

If you’re new here and didn’t get a chance to find a book last Sunday, some of our amazing guest gnomes (shoutout to Caitlin, Erika, and Cynthia!) will be hiding an additional 15 books of this month’s selection (on top of the 30) around Tucson over the next week or two. So keep your eyes peeled, as 15 more copies of Haunted Ever After will be hidden around town! I do not post any hint photos of these books, as they are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight!

Our selection for November will be the perfect read to recognize National Native American Heritage Month. So keep an eye out here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates.

does someone find every book each month? I do not know anyone who has been fortunate to find a book either. Will keep looking.

    1. We have new and different people finding books every month! Not every found book is reported to us, so sometimes we’re not sure if a book has been found… or who found it. Pro Tip: the scavenger hunt is always slower in the afternoon, so if you want to look for a book, look for the books we hide after our lunch break on book-hiding days (follow along on our Instagram and Facebook for those hint photos after lunch!). Happy book hunting!
