Podcasts and Radio Shows – Oh My!

Hi friends. It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update about things OTHER than our monthly books hiding, so we thought it was time to catch you up on some exciting activities that have been going on!

First, we recorded a lovely podcast with the fabulous ladies (Liz & Holly) from Speaking LITerally towards the end of April – the episode went live on April 22! Holly actually saw us at the Tucson Festival of Books, learned about the Tome Gnome, and was so intrigued that she invited us to join her for a conversation! We talked about all things bookish AND the amazing story of how the Tome Gnome came to be (and how we’ve grown!). You can listen to the episode HERE (or wherever you listen to your podcasts). And if you’re on social media, don’t forget to follow these ladies on Instagram – @speakingliterallypodcast or Facebook – Speaking LITerally Podcast.

And then a week later, we sat down with Tom Heath, host of “Life Along the Streetcar,” in the Proper Shops in downtown Tucson for an interview! “Life Along the Streetcar” is a show that airs on Downtown Radio 99.1 FM. Tom’s show focuses on social, cultural, and economic topics impacting the lives of those who live, work, and/or play in Tucson’s urban core. It airs every Sunday at 11am – and our episode aired last Sunday, April 28 🙂 We had a great discussion about the Tome Gnome’s mission, how we select our books, and why we love hiding books all over downtown Tucson!

You can learn more about Tom’s show here and here. AND, you can listen to our episode (and view an awesome video recording of our interview!) here. And, of course, don’t forget to follow the show on Facebook – Tom chats with a lot of amazing people in our community, and you don’t want to miss an episode!

We enjoyed both of these conversations so much! We are always excited to chat with people about our work, so if you know anyone else (podcasters! radio show hosts!) who we should talk to, please drop us a a line via email (tucsontomegnome [at] gmail [dot] com) or comment here! We hope you’ll give both of these episodes a watch (or a listen) and send some gratitude to Liz, Holly, and Tom for inviting us to chat with them on their various platforms ❤
