Happy 37th book giveaway! To celebrate our THREE-YEAR TOME GNOME-IVERSARY (!!!), last weekend I hid 30 copies of Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune. As our very own Jody described in her promotion of the book for Indie Next, “Returning to Marsyas Island is like coming home after a long trip — you are immediately enveloped in warmth and comfort. This novel is a celebration of queer families and inclusive communities. It is exactly what we need to be reading right now!” In addition, each book we hid included a signed Tome Gnome Bookplate (thank you, TJ!), a special art print from Tor, and a set of very fun book-themed goodies from Kingdom of Threads.

If you’re new here and didn’t get a chance to find a book last Sunday, some of our amazing guest gnomes (shoutout to Caitlin, Erika, and Cynthia!) will be hiding an additional 15 books of this month’s selection (on top of the 30) around Tucson over the next week or two. So keep your eyes peeled, as 15 more copies of Somewhere Beyond the Sea will be hidden around town! I do not post any hint photos of these books, as they are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight!

We have some exciting things (local author! local artist! spooky!) coming up in October to celebrate the start of our fourth year of book hiding. So keep an eye out here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates.
