Friends! We have an exciting announcement 🙂 The rumors are true: we’re collaborating with Amanda Meeks (of Oustpokin’ & Bookish) and the UA Poetry Center on creating a “Visual Poetry of Tucson” zine! Here are some basic details (and some links to learn more!)
Have you ever written a poem using images instead of text? Are you an artist who creates visual art using text? Do you have a love and appreciation for Tucson and the Sonoran Desert? We heartily invite you to submit your work for a “Visual Poetry of Tucson” Zine!
In celebration of National Poetry Month (coming up in April!), Tucson Tome Gnome and Outspokin’ & Bookish are joining forces to share the joy of poetry with our community and celebrate the beauty of our city and region through this grassroots literary arts project. The Poetry Center is thrilled to support this exciting project! You can learn more about the project here, including how the zines will be shared with our community! (Hint: you might find them along with our hidden books of poetry in April) 😉
The submission form opened today (Monday, February 5) and will remain open until Friday, February 23. You can submit to the Zine HERE ❤️🌵 We hope you’ll help us spread the word about this fabulous and fun opportunity!
