Can you believe it? This month was our TWENTY-NINTH book giveaway! To kick off the new year, we hid 30 copies of Big Gay Wedding by Byron Lane all over Tucson! This month, the gnome’s helpers visited A LOT of coffee shops and other cozy/covered/enclosed spaces. It was a (rare) rainy day in Tucson, and it actually rained ALL day (contrary to what our weather apps kept predicting, haha). But don’t worry, the books were protected (we’re not monsters, LOL). And, let’s be honest – a few days of good rain is always worth celebrating in the desert.

If you’re new here and didn’t get a chance to find a book last Sunday, I also hide an additional 15 books of each month’s selection (on top of the 30) around Tucson after the book-hiding weekend. So keep your eyes peeled over the next week or two, as 15 more copies of Big Gay Wedding will be hidden around town! I do not post any hint photos of these books, as they are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight!

I have an amazing book already selected for February – – – and don’t be surprised if the Tome Gnome continues to feature some of the authors who will be attending the Tucson Festival of Books in March 😉 I can’t wait to share it with you, so keep a lookout here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates.
