Happy Holidays, and Merry Christmas weekend to those who celebrate! (And happy weekend of escapist reading, last-minute shopping, and food prep…) 🙂

During this twenty-eighth book giveaway, I had a truly magical, holiday-filled day hiding 30 copies of A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers all over Tucson! This month’s book was selected because it’s a feel-good, thoughtful (and thought-provoking!), cozy read. I’m writing this post from my living room couch in mid-town Tucson on Friday, December 22. It’s a (rare!) rainy and cold day here in Tucson, so if you were lucky enough to find a copy of this book, this is the PERFECT day to wrap yourself up in a blanket, sip some tea, and give it a read ❤

This month, the gnome’s helpers visited several tea shops around town (a little nod to one of the book’s protagonists – a tea monk!) AND we stopped by some of our favorite holiday-themed/decorated places. It was a lovely day to be out driving around Tucson, celebrating our last book-hiding day of 2023. Seriously, where did the year go???

If you’re new here and didn’t get a chance to find a book last Sunday, I also hide an additional 15 books of each month’s selection (on top of the 30) around Tucson after the book-hiding weekend. So keep your eyes peeled over the next week or two, as 15 more copies of A Psalm for the Wild-Built will be hidden around town! I do not post any hint photos of these books, as they are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight!

I have an amazing book already selected for January – – – don’t be surprised if the tome gnome features some of the authors who will be attending the Tucson Festival of Books in March 😉 I can’t wait to share it with you, so keep a lookout here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates.
