Friends! Are you looking for something to do this weekend? If so, this gnome has a recommendation for you! The Tucson Tome Gnome, along with several other great organizations and vendors, will be participating in Trail Dust Town’s “Throwback Book Fair” this Saturday, September 9, from 1-5pm.

This is going to be a super event for all of you who might be nostalgic for that rush of bookish joy that you got from attending the Scholastic Book Fair when you were younger 🙂

The Tome Gnome will be there hiding some free books around the event and hosting a free book-sharing/book-swap table! We’d love for you to swing by, learn more about us, and grab some free stickers or books!!! Here’s more info from the event page:

“Remember those long-awaited book fairs at your elementary school, when you begged your parents for cash to buy the latest Goosebumps or Baby-Sitters Club book? We’re bringing back that same wonder (with a grown-up twist) at the Throwback Book Fair!

In addition to the main attraction of books from Bookmans, there will also be local vendors selling throwback items, live music with Jacob Acosta, retro-inspired food and drink options like adult capri suns and lunchables for sale, a 90s-themed craft table, retro gaming area, and a visit from Ms. Frizzle herself!

Get your VIP ticket for $20, which includes entry, a locally printed canvas tote bag, vendor coupons, and swag. Only 200 VIP tickets are available!

General admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under, and free for babies under 2 years old (babies do not require a ticket).
