Wowza! We are definitely in the full swing of summer heat in Tucson (monsoon rains… where are you???).
During this twenty-second Tome Giveaway, I had a wonderful day hiding tomes all over Tucson in celebration of Pride Month! I hid 30 copies of Yerba Buena by Nina LaCour throughout the day – all at LGTBQIA+-friendly places around Tucson. One of my amazingly talented book-loving photographer friends, Jeaiza, joined us and snapped some great photos of Sunday’s tome-hiding adventures. Some of her photos from the day are included below. You can check her out here and here.
As a reminder, I am now hiding an additional 15 books of each month’s selection (on top of the 30) around Tucson after the book-hiding weekend. And this month, my extra books were hidden by several “guest gnomes” – members at the Eon Youth Lounge (part of the Thornhill Lopez Center/Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation). I did not post any hint photos of these books, as these books are truly meant to be a random act of kindness for those who happen upon them. Yay for random bookish joy and delight! Here are some pictures of a few of their members hiding some books:

It’s already July (AAHHHH – where is 2023 going?)… so onward to our next book-hiding later this month!! We’ll be hiding books again in a few weeks, so keep a lookout here, on Instagram, and on our Facebook page for updates.
And our usual note applies: don’t forget to subscribe to the blog, follow me on social media, or make a donation to help us keep the book-sharing going year-round (we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit)!
